The = angel investor tax credit was not renewed, and will now sunset at the end o= f the year. Efforts to bring back incentives for venture capital investmen= t were not successful. However, other programs such as the film and digita= l interactive media tax credits were expanded. So what capital incentive p= rograms are still available for our early-stage technology companies? Scot= t Kirkpatrick, head of the Louisiana Coalition for Capital, will discuss th= e recent changes, what programs are still in effect, and what efforts are b= rewing for new change in our capital landscape. In addition, Robert Lay of= Stonehenge Capital will discuss New Market Tax Credits, which are still av= ailable in our area. The Tech Park is located in a New Market Tax Credits = Zone, so some of our tenants may qualify to secure capital at heavily reduc= ed rates under this program. Mr. Lay will describe the program, who may qu= alify, and the application process.=0D=0AThe Tech Park will provide lunch f= or this program, and the cost is free. Registration is limited to the first= 30 people. =0D=0APlease RSVP to Genevieve by 8/11/09=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0AFor= More Information Contact:=0D=0AGenevieve Silverman=0D=0A225-218-1100=0D=0A= gen@latechpark.com SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Luncheon Seminar: New Market Tax Credits= and other Capital Incentives PRIORITY:3 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
